Gravis Marketing, who has issued the bulk of the sparse public polling data we’ve seen for the upcoming Montana at-large special congressional election, released a spot poll yesterday. The study (5/22; 818 MT-AL special election likely voters) finds Republican Greg Gianforte leading Democrat Rob Quist by a 49-35% margin. All six publicly released surveys have found Mr. Gianforte holding an advantage between six and fifteen percentage points. The election will be decided this Thursday, May 25th, in a statewide vote. The winner replaces former Rep. Ryan Zinke (R-Whitefish) who resigned earlier in the year to become US Interior Secretary.
