Rep. Rick Nolan (D-Crosby/Duluth) had been toying for weeks about whether to enter next year’s open Governor’s race, and has now reached a decision. Mr. Nolan will not run for Governor, choosing to seek re-election to his eastern Minnesota House seat. He said, “the challenges and consequences of the issues facing our nation in Washington are too important for me to walk away from at this time,” in making his decision public. Rep. Nolan has survived two close re-election battles against businessman Stewart Mills (R), scoring 48.5% and 50.2% victory percentages in 2014 and 2016, respectively.
