Remington Research (4/28-29; 915 MO likely Republican primary voters) tested several candidates who may enter the US Senate race against incumbent Claire McCaskill (D). According to the data, Attorney General Josh Hawley would lead Rep. Ann Wagner, 37-14%, with two minor candidates in single digits. The results are not surprising in that Mr. Hawley just won a statewide race in November with over 58% of the vote. The likely unfolding scenario portends Rep. Wagner running for the Senate, while Attorney General Hawley remains in his current position. The Missouri race will be one of the top 2018 Republican conversion targets.
