Sen. Bernie Sanders (I/D-VT) has made his presence felt in the crowded Maryland Democratic gubernatorial primary. Yesterday, ex-NAACP president Ben Jealous announced that the former presidential candidate has endorsed his gubernatorial candidacy. In addition to Mr. Jealous, Prince Georges County Executive Rushern Baker, state Sen. Rich Madaleno, technology executive Alec Ross, and former state University Regent Jim Shea have all announced their candidacies. Rep. John Delaney (D-Potomac) is still a potential candidate. The winner faces Gov. Larry Hogan (R) next November.
