Republican candidate for Virginia Governor Ed Gillespie put out his first television ad and it touts his aims to grow the Virginia economy. One of the biggest campaign planks he puts down in the ad is reducing the state income tax for the first time in 45 years. Gillespie also directs attention to his plan for increasing private sector jobs and aiming to create 53,000 new private sector jobs in his term. The race for Virginia Governor will hinge in the northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C. and this ad is clearly aimed at those voters.
