About the BIPAC Action Fund
BIPAC has been preeminent in powering business political success, ensuring a positive business environment for the business industry as a whole. The Action Fund is the non-connected political action committee (PAC) for BIPAC which allows the business community to join together to participate in a meaningful way in the political process. BIPAC’s Action Fund was created to help protect and promote prosperity and to further BIPAC’s overall mission by electing and motivating champions of free enterprise.
BIPAC’s fundamental principle is that a fully funded candidate is at the heart of every successful election strategy. Action Fund contributions enable candidates to leverage our endorsement into support from other political action committees and individual donors. It shows that the candidate has the backing of the business community of that state and district and signifies a consensus across a spectrum of business sectors. To qualify for BIPAC support, a candidate must be recommended by the business community of his/her state or district; be identified as more pro-business than his/her likely major opponent; be involved in a competitive race; be capable of winning that competitive race; and, be in need of resources beyond those he/she can provide.
For 50 years, BIPAC has made financial contributions to candidates for the U. S. House and Senate. Through political and economic turmoil, our mission has remained the same: to elect pro-business legislators who would form majority coalitions to enact our agenda for growth, innovation, and prosperity. Thousands of candidates have received our financial help, usually in their first election. Whether they won or lost their initial election, some contenders have gone on to become president of the United States, cabinet officers, agency commissioners, majority leader of the Senate, speaker of the House, chairs of major committees, governors, association executives, and corporate executives.
Because the BIPAC Action Fund is a non-connected PAC, any U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident can contribute. The Action Fund accepts contributions from those with similar missions and goals, as well as individuals who want to support pro-prosperity candidates.
