Rep. Henry Cuellar
D-Texas 28

https://www.henrycuellar.com

Eight-term Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Laredo) represents a safe Democratic seat, however, has drawn opposition in the March 3 congressional primary from the anti-business faction of his party.

Congressman Cuellar is the only Texas Democrat on the U.S. House Appropriations Committee.  He is Vice Chair of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security and serves on the Subcommittees of Defense and Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration and Related Agencies.  Before his election to Congress, Cuellar served as a Texas State Representative and as Texas Secretary of State, and has been an educator, lawyer and small business owner.

Rep. Henry Cuellar is consistently one of the best Democratic business votes in the House of Representatives, and has the best business scorecard average of any Texas Democrat in the past two congressional sessions.  He is a member of the Blue Dog Coalition, and an important bipartisan voice in Congress.
