The BIPAC Action Fund announced its endorsement of Keith Rothfus for his campaign to continue to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives in Pennsylvania's new 17th congressional district on June 29, 2018.
Keith Rothfus is passionate about ensuring that America remains the land of opportunity and freedom that the Founders intended it to be. He is serving his third term in the United States House of Representatives and will face newly elected Rep. Conor Lamb (D) in the country's only incumbent v incumbent race.
Rep. Rothfus was appointed to serve as Vice Chairman of the Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit for the 115th Congress. In this new role, he is working to help grow the economy by ensuring small businesses, entrepreneurs, and consumers have access to the credit they need. Keith also serves on the Subcommittee on Housing and Insurance and the Subcommittee on Terrorism and Illicit Finance.
As a member of the Financial Services Committee, the congressman addresses issues concerning the banking system, housing, insurance, and securities markets. The committee also has jurisdiction over monetary policy, international finance, international monetary organizations, and efforts to combat terrorism financing. The committee oversees the Federal Reserve Board and individual reserve banks, the Treasury, the production and distribution of currency, and the Nation’s capital markets. Rep. Rothfus' Financial Services work enables him to promote policies for a competitive economy that will result in more jobs and better wages.
