The BIPAC Action Fund announced its endorsement of Barbara Comstock for her re-election campaign in the U.S. House of Representatives for Virginia's 10th congressional district on January 31, 2018.
Comstock is in one of the most competitive districts in the country for the 2018 midterms. Twelve candidates have announced their intent to challenge Comstock and that includes a GOP primary challenger. Consequently, this campaign will be non-stop in 2018.
Barbara Comstock was born in Springfield, MA. Comstock earned her B.A. in political science from Middlebury College in 1981 and her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1986. Comstock is a founding partner of Corallo Comstock. She previously worked at Blank Rome, LLP and Blank Rome Government Relations, LLC. She also worked as a Congressional staffer to both Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA) and Rep. Frank Wolf (R) of Virginia. From 1995 to 1999, she was majority counsel to the Oversight and Government Reform Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. Comstock would go on to work in the Department of Justice from 2002 to 2003. In 2010, she was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates and, in 2014, she was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives.
