BIPAC Action Fund Endorsed Winner This endorsement was for the November 5, 2013, special election to replace Rep. Jo Bonner (R). Prior to his special election victory, Bradley Byrne (R) was a business attorney and former state legislator and was tasked as CEO of the state’s two year college system with reforming the system and restructuring its financial underpinnings. He faced businessman Dean Young (R) in the GOP runoff. Byrne was supported by BIPAC, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, immediate former Rep. Jo Bonner (R), and members of the business community. BIPAC’s state deployment partner, Manufacture Alabama also supports Bradley Byrne. Bryne won the general election with over 68% of the vote against his Democratic challenger Burton LeFlore.
