BIPAC Action Fund Endorsed Winner
Republican Bob Dold has defeated incumbent Democrat Brad Schneider in the race to represent Illinois’s 10th district.
Dold held this seat for two years, 2010-2012, before losing to Schneider in the last cycle.
This suburban Chicago lake shore district tilts Democrat, but Dold ran as a centrist businessman capable of reaching across the aisle. Before serving in Congress, Dold ran a small business, and he was endorsed by the Chicago Tribune, The Daily Herald, and BIPAC.
This was a rematch from the 2012 race where Dold lost to Schneider by less than 3,500 votes. Rep. Dold scored 82% on BIPAC's 112th Congress voting record while Schneider has not been a friend during his time in Congress.
BIPAC's state partner, the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, has also endorsed Dold and is working with BIPAC and local businesses in the district to support his return to Congress.
R. Dold 51.6% 93,984
