More is coming to fruition about Rep. Kyrsten Sinema’s (D-Phoenix) potential US Senate challenge to first-term incumbent Jeff Flake (R). While the Congresswoman is clearly considering running statewide, she won’t make an affirmative decision until determining whether Sen. Flake draws a strong Republican primary challenger. This makes sense because Arizona is a generally reliable Republican voting state, and any scenario of defeating Flake would likely include him being damaged in a tough primary.
