With ads from both political parties and many candidates dominating the Atlanta area airwaves for the coming special congressional election, Democrat Jon Ossoff announced yesterday that his campaign had now surpassed the $8 million mark in receipts. Added to at least the $4 million the Republicans have already spent very likely means that this north Georgia special congressional election will set an all–time spending record for a non-regular political contest.
