The BIPAC Action Fund announced its endorsement of Dean Heller in his re-election campaign for the U.S. Senate on November 1, 2017.
"Senator Heller has been a staunch supporter of the business community,” said BIPAC President and CEO Jim Gerlach. “The changing demographics in Nevada have led to the state to become more electorally competitive and our early endorsement of Sen. Heller sends a clear signal from the business community that his common-sense approach to governing is what is needed now more than ever in D.C.," continued Gerlach.
Heller’s 2016 voting record includes 100% ratings by BIPAC, the National Federation of Independent Business, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Heller received a 100% rating in 2015 by the National Retail Federation and a 96% rating by the National Association of Manufacturers.
Senator Heller was sworn in to the United States Senate on May 9, 2011. Prior to his service in the Senate, Senator Heller was the Representative for Nevada's Second Congressional District and also served as Nevada's Secretary of State and in the Nevada State Assembly representing Carson City.
