BIPAC Action Fund Endorsed Winner
Republican Congressman Steve Daines has been elected the next Senator of Montana, defeating State Representative Amanda Curtis (D).
Daines was originally running to fill the seat of Democrat Max Baucus, who resigned in mid-2014, against his appointed successor John Walsh. However, Walsh left the race under scrutiny from a plagiarism scandal.
Daines was largely supported by the business community in this state which leans Republican.
In the House, Rep. Daines served on the Natural Resources, Transportation and Homeland Security Committees.
